About my embroidery process

All work takes place on my collection of antique
hand controlled embroidery machines, not a computer*

The process of making a chenille patch

Chainstitch and chenille projects are made on these antique machines using a free-hand steering handle under the machine to control it, not a computer

My design and fabrication process

1. Quote: Starting at a $400 minimum for orders, my prices are based on embroidery size, design complexity, and the number of colors.  Detailed quotes include lead time (typically 3-6 weeks) with rush orders also available.

2. Design: I can work with customer's artwork in most file formats, hand sketches, or I can design original artwork for your project (for an additional design fee).

3. Stitching: Chainstitch and Chenille is done in my studio on one of my antique hand guided machines.  I also offer tackle twill, applique and modern embroidery.

4. Patch attachment: Sewing your patches on is the finishing touch, and I can do it in several different styles.

Studio Meetings and Consultations:

  • 60 minute meeting (Studio or Virtual): $100

  • Meetings at your location bill at $120 an hour
(plus travel time outside metro Atlanta)

  • 30 minute studio fitting included with all garment purchases

Let's get started on your project

My Studio

My studio is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood near downtown Atlanta, and all design, sewing and embroidery is done in this room, 1 garment at a time on antique hand controlled machines by me.  I also have a large selection of blank garments for sale, as well as a 3-story jacket wall with jackets available for fittings and purchase.
