Historic Replicas & Recreations

Creating replica patches and insignias using the same style 100+ year old hand controlled embroidery machines that made the originals

Replicas and Recreations

How to get started

One of my favorite things to do with these 100+ year old machines is to replicate or reimagine patches from the past that would were made on these machines originally.

While I don't reproduce copyrighted materials, I'm happy to make military patches, especially those worn by the air force (AAF) in World War 2.

Note: This is a reproduction patch handmade in my Atlanta, GA. studio by me. The back of the patch features a non-removable embroidered version of my logo and it is not intended to be presented as an original historical item.

I have two different options:
1. Replica patch store
This is a collection of patches that I have already studied and made replicas or.  Simply purchase the one you want from the store and I'll make it just for you.  Please note that I happy to adjust the patch size and colors at no charge to better fit your garment.

2. Custom patch service
If you don't see the patch you are looking for in the store I'd be happy to work on a custom patch just for you.  Please note that my custom project minimum is $400 due to the amount of work that goes into carefully replicating these patches.  Also, that doesn't mean that you patch will be $400, but the design time does factor into the price of a new design.
